Who is responsible
Roberto Mangano, Via Molinazzo 2, 6900 Lugano, Switzerland, is responsible for this website and for the processing of personal data described in this notice.
The email address is shown when JavaScript is enabled.
Scope
This notice applies to this website. It follows the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, for visitors in the European Union, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Contact and speaking forms
When you send a form, the details you enter are sent by email to Roberto Mangano: your name, email address, organisation and message, and on the speaking form the event details you provide.
The details are used only to answer your message. They are not stored in a database, not used for marketing and not passed to third parties for their own purposes.
Legal basis
The processing is based on your consent, given with the checkbox on the form (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), and on steps you request before a possible agreement, such as a speaking engagement (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). You can withdraw your consent at any time by email.
Retention
Messages are kept in the mailbox for 6 months and then deleted.
Protection against misuse
To limit spam and abuse, the server keeps a keyed hash of your IP address for at most 24 hours. The IP address itself is not stored. The forms also use a hidden field to detect automated submissions.
Recipients
Hosting provider: FireStorm (firestorm.ch), Switzerland. The hosting provider may record technical access data, such as IP address, date, time and requested page, in server logs to operate and secure the service.
Email provider: SiteGround (siteground.com) hosts the mailbox that receives the form messages.
Cookies and tracking
This website sets no cookies for visitors and uses no analytics, advertising or tracking tools. Fonts and images are served from this website, not from third parties.
One strictly necessary cookie is set only when the site owner signs in to the admin area.
Your rights
You can ask for access to your data, correction, deletion, restriction of processing and data portability, and you can object to the processing. Send your request by email.
You can also complain to the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) or, in the European Union, to the data protection authority of your country.
